Ana Cupp LCSW
(she/her)
Hello, my name is Ana and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) dedicated to helping individuals navigate the complexities of the human experience. Growing up amidst adversity myself, I intimately understand the profound challenges of living in a world that often lacks the resources to support the most vulnerable. I firmly believe that, while we cannot choose the life we are born into, we all have the potential to take control of our journey, create a life worth living, and become our most authentic selves.
I approach therapy with the conviction that every individual has the right to self-determination and that meaningful change begins with connection. Emphasizing the importance of a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can be truly seen and heard without fear of shame. Understanding each individual's unique life story is at the core of my work. I view the therapeutic relationship as a cornerstone of transformation, believing that therapy is a collaborative process. My warm, compassionate, and honest presence attempts to foster an environment of unconditional support for every person I serve.
I work with individuals facing a range of challenges, including complex trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety, life transitions, emotional dysregulation, substance use (from a harm-reduction lens), and relationship issues. As a trauma-informed therapist, I incorporate somatic experiencing to honor the mind-body connection and deepen the understanding between internal and external experiences. My eclectic approach is tailored to the needs of each client, drawing from a variety of modalities, including mindfulness, parts work, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Brainspotting.
I am deeply honored to accompany individuals on their journeys toward healing and self-discovery. I look forward to connecting with you in person or virtually and working together to create a life that aligns with your values and aspirations.
Personal Interests:
Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time outside with my two German Shepherd pups. We especially love to hike the mountains and walk the beaches of Oregon. I also enjoy experiencing different cultures, exploring new places, meeting new people and trying new things. Some of my hobbies include baking, reading, snowboarding, hiking, and doing absolutely nothing while watching a good movie or TV show. I prioritize taking care of myself holistically so that I can show up for my clients the way they deserve.
