An alternative approach to abstinence only models of care.  HaRT addresses unwanted consequences to drug and/or alcohol use by recognizing that a persons relationship to substances is complex and unique to the individual. HaRT helps people create individual strategies to increase safety and decrease adverse consequences of alcohol and/or drug use. These strategies can include safer use, moderation, focusing on the underlying reasons for substance use and abstinence to name a few.

Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful, adverse, and traumatic circumstances. Early and on going trauma can lead to anxiety, fear, and hopelessness. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing. One therapy strategy I utilize to help process past adverse experiences is Brainspotting. 

A strategy utilized to help process past adverse experiences. Brainspotting utilizes eye placement to help you access unprocessed experiences in your subcortical brain which is where many of our unconscious experiences live.  To learn more: https://brainspotting.com/  

All services at this time are held virtually using a safe and secure platform.  I suggest that you have your sessions in a quiet space that is free from distractions.  I am licensed in the state of Oregon which means that you will have to be located in Oregon in order to receive therapeutic services.
